Knight Academy

Our prestigious academy, Knights Academy in the grand city of Avalon, was founded in order to help our students learn self discipline and gain mastery of their unique abilities in order to help those around them. Here all students will be trained to help defend the powerless, and vanquish the evils of this world as we strive to find peace and balance amongst humanity. Knights Academy faces several threats on a regular basis in hopes of bettering the world around them, but our students are both brave enough to fight them and trained well enough to do so! This path of schooling may not be for everyone, however future students can rest with ease knowing that we will prepare them for any and all threats that  lay ahead of them. For all individuals interested in starting down their own paths to heroism, we look forward to having you join us for another wonderful school year full of adventures and mysteries!

Sincerely, Dr. Maxwell

The first day of school finally came, but this was no ordinary school. This one trained teenager with their powers in order to become a hero one day. The principal opened the door to his office and looked at the stack of papers on his desk waiting for him to go over, he shook his head and just ignored them for right now. He had more important things to do like prepare the speech for the new students joining the Academy this year, he kept repeating the speech in his head so he wouldn't forget, it was very important for the kids to hear it.

A young man was leaning against the door frame as the he watch his grandfather struggle with the speech. It was funny and a bit sad at the same time, mainly cause it was the same speech every year. Oran approached the principals desk then crossed his arms when he stopped right in front of him "Good morning old man" he said with a bright smile but his grandfather wasn't as happy as he was "Oran what are you doing here? You should be getting ready to go to your first class... and don't forget to hear the speech! Now go!" He grabbed the paper with the speech and cleared his throat before speaking "Its still early, and it's the same speech every year. It whatever, see ya later". After his grandson left Dr.Maxwell was ready to begin with this school year.
"Good morning everyone! This is your principal speaking, for all of you new people here my name is Adam Maxwell. I welcome you to this wonderful academy for heroes, let's have a wonderful school year! All new students must go to the gym to pick up their schedule, have a wonderful day and remember... stand proud."

We can start now lol

Pressuring the button, popping upwards, the boot door exposed a simple, small, black suitcase relaxing on the floor of the boot. Stepping forward, Vala pulled at her cardigan with her thumb pushing the top button into the designated hole before reaching for the handle of the suit case, a simple melody had invaded her for a couple of weeks now, more so like a parasite than pleasantry by now. Yet regardless of the personal protests, she insistently whistled it out to her audience which consisted solely of herself, her muscles went to work, stepping back whilst dragging the suitcase, her face scrunched up momentarily before the lift off. Hearing the clank of the wheels assault the floor, her palm dug into the button on the handle which then continued to bounce upwards.

Walking into the school grounds, her ears were filled with students shouting, laughing, suitcase wheels rolling and the water breaking down on impact from the fall, she possessed a smile due to the frequent nostalgia she felt each year after the break. Her eyes would wander adventurously to greet the new and old faces of the academy, though her prime focus was to get to her class before her students, she wasn't even too sure which class she had due to her awaking being later than usual.

After several minutes of aimless walking, she had reached her destination in the northern classroom block and with the swipe of her keycard she was in. Upon the entrance of her foot, the lights flickered on simultaneously to reveal her two desks as well as the lifted seats which ascended with each row. She took pride in her classroom which was organised as well as the zip bags she organised each year for each student to not only put their phones in but any belongings which they'd be afraid to lose.

She waited a few minutes for her computer and big screen to load, shortly after for her to open her welcoming presentation as despite the class she taught, there were always new students in them from a constant flow of aspiring heroes. Clicking through each slide to reassure herself, she smiled proudly before pulling from the computer to the door. Shutting the door after herself, she awaited for anyone to come with her back leaned against the door.

[I'm posting Errant's replies for him for now until his internet is fixed.]

[Derek]
Sitting in a large easy chair behind a counter, Derek switched through his current playlists: whale sounds, progressive rock, and Sam's List. All of them were starting to bore him, as was the lack of excitement lately. His last stint in the city was bringing down a massive bronze statue of All Might, hiding in the crowd and letting his quake rupture the ground under it. Said venture had taken a lot out of him, as well as shut down Main Street, so most commuters werent driving by his store. Still, there was the letter he received from S.I.N. last week, which he still hadn't read. Maybe it was time to open it...

[Varen]
His back laid against the window, Varen waited outside for the first class of the day, hoping to soak up as much energy as possible before class. His usually crystal clear eyes were a brilliant indigo. He spent his time glancing around the hall, trying to keep track of everyone who returned and was new. Hopefully the class wasn't long before it finished, he wanted to get to the cafeteria and eat something already. In his head he could already hear Mrs. Dobby, who always sang as she materialized food. He also had a surprise he wanted to show his friends.

Divinity awoke just before the sun rose as always before heading into her bathroom to take a shower. Everyday was the same routine for her, though the familiarity was being to lose it's welcome. After three years of doing the same thing every single day she found the sentiment far less endearing than she once had, and a great deal more annoying. Though not every part of her day was as predictable as her mornings. Despite recently feeling the strain of wanting different things than Oran in their relationship, Divinity loved him dearly and his antics always kept her on her toes. It was refreshing to have some sort of change in her life that past year. A little mystery was a good thing.

After finishing her shower, the young woman dried herself off, changed into a casual outfit, brushed her hair, and put on some make up before returning to her dorm room. There she found her roommate, and best friend, still sound asleep on her bed as per usual. "Hey Amy, class starts in 20 minutes." She gently prompted as she give her a slight shake, despite knowing that she'd be late. Amy had to have one the longest tardy records in school history, thanks to her wild and free spirit. Most nights she'd go out with her boyfriend to party, and come back early in the morning. Even when she herself was the one to take Any out for a girls night, she could never force Amy in a car to leave until well after midnight. That's just the type of stubborn girl she was. Taking a soft groan from the brunette as her sign to leave her be, Divinity made her away to their bedroom door and slipped on her shoes. "Make sure not to be too late, you really don't want anymore absences on your record." She reminded her best friend with a soft chuckle as she opened the door, earning the other teen's annoyance as planned.
"Yeah, yeah, go kiss on Romeo already." Amy shot back groggily as she slowly pushed herself up and out of bed.
Simply rolling her eyes as she shut the door behind herself, Divinity headed towards her first class. She always went in early to choose which seat she wanted. After choosing a seat near the back of the class, Divinity began sorting through her textbook. Briefly scanning over what they be covering that year.

As a new student, Yataka has his doubts about whether the Academy was right for him, but shrugged it off as his principal began speaking. Startled by the the sudden announcement, he jumped slightly, dropping the two books he had been carrying. He hurriedly gathered the books and sped to the gym for his schedule. He already had a good ides of what classes he had, but wasn't quite sure what rooms they were in, nor what times he had them.

After grabbing his schedule, he wandered around the building until he found his first class in the northern portion of the school. Finding the room wasn't quite hard, but he felt awkward as he silently soon across the hall from the teacher, hoping some else would show up, but also hoping no one would as well. He knew he wouldn't know any of the students. None of the friends from his old school joined him, so he was alone. On top of that, he knew some of his classmates would be upperclassmen, which only worsened his nervousness.

Yataka was fully aware of his clumsy nature, so that only added to the pressure. First impressions are important, and he was afraid he hadn't set a very good one so far. Luckily, he hadn't done too much to show of his clumsiness, other than dropping his books earlier, and a few stumbles while walking through the halls.

Despite his uneasiness, and nervousness, he was actually quite optimistic for the year. As long as he avoided having any major hiccups and didn't embarrass himself, he would be fine.

[Nora]
It was a new year at a new school and Nora couldn't be more excited. It was exciting enough to get into the prestigious Knight Academy, but now that she was actually here starting school made it even more so. Nora had woken up quite early to make sure that she got there on time if not early so that she could find her dorm room and settle down before classes started. She was told by one of her roommates that the schedules would be in the gym so she made her way over just as the principal made the same announcement. Once she received it, Nora poured over the schedule anticipating her classes, but first she had to make it to homeroom. Pulling out the school map she found her classroom in the southern part of the building and quickly made her way over.

[Drake]
Drake woke to his alarm going off, with a sigh his eyes fluttered open and he reached for his phone, shutting off the alarm. Checking the time he saw that it was 20 minutes until class started, no time for sleeping in today. Getting up out of bed he got ready for school: getting dressed, cleaning up his bedhead and sitting down to eat while he checked the feed on his phone.

It was his second year here, though because of his grades and great abilities he could have easily skipped one, he didn't want to be labeled as a prodigy and it wasn't his goal to become the great hero everyone told him he could be. Drake wanted to become a teacher, he only joined the Knight Academy for three reasons. One, his parents wanted him to. Two, because it would increase his chances to get into a good collage. And three, to help his ability develop further.

Checking the time, Drake saw that he had 10 minutes until class started. So packing up his bag with classroom necessities the teen headed out the door and towards the school building.

Miri stands in the hall of the academic building, staring intently at a corkboard full of notices. Her uniform is decorated with various buttons and badges, as well as the small messenger bag at her side. She reads each paper on display in full, noting the names on each, the phone numbers and emails joined to the those names. She subtly adjusts the tinted glasses on her nose and smiles before pivoting and moseying down the hall. It made her pleased to see people enthused about things, getting people to explore the activities that they were so passionate about. Showing all the fresh faces there was more to This, more than being a hero.

There was no need to double check her schedule, this was the right room. She'd been here four whole years, she could draw a whole map of the campus from memory if she pleased. She's never spent any quality time with this teacher, Miss Vala, but she recognized the blonde woman from the halls. Miri wasn't inclined to draw any speculation from someones reputation, after all their reputation could always be a ruse.

Magnus walked through the campus twirling a single chain around his left hand, something he did out of habit to calm himself down. He had been able to transfer into the 4th year's class based on the examination and interview process, but he was fairly behind the others in terms of education. He hadn't really gone to school consistently in a long time due to the incident with his parents and would otherwise get taught by his guardian, so he didn't feel the need to go. However, since it was his guardian that convinced him to go to Knights Academy for a year, he was willing to give it a try. The speech from the principal wasn't very inspiring but it gave him the bit of direction he needed. Arriving at the gym he quickly slipped through the throngs of students, nabbed his schedule, and made his way off to his homeroom in the northern classroom block, one with a Miss Vala. According to the enrollment office this teacher often got the transfer students in her homeroom as she was an adviser of some sort for them. She also happened to be his first lecture immediately after homeroom which Magnus found rather convenient. A teacher, who he assumed was Miss Vala, was already waiting at the front when he arrived. He normally had a calm demeanor but was still a little nervous in his new environment when he introduced himself, "You are Miss Vala, correct? I believe I'm in your homeroom, nice to meet you."

After leaving the principals office Oran decided to go get some breakfast instead of going to class, he still got time and it wouldn't hurt him to be late once. Oran took his time to eat his breakfast and even walked super slow to class, he never got a chance walk around the school like this. It was relaxing, he even saw a flock of ducks or maybe they were seagulls since they're close to the ocean. It didn't take long long for Oran to find his homeroom, it was in the northern part of the school, and he was still in time so that was good. As he got closer to the room he saw the a young lady standing outside the door, probably the teacher and there was a guy next to her with a chain. Looks like Oran was going to meet a lot of new people this year "Hello! Miss Vala right? I'm Oran Maxwell it's a pleasure to meet you" he said as he casually walked in the room and took a seat on the front row.

The sun hung up in the sky as it shone upon those below. A young dark skinned woman sluggishly moved along with the crowd of people, nervously looking around as she took in this new environment, she'd never been in such a crowded place before. "Khoroshiy lord, gde ya seychas? (Good lord, where am I now?)" The young adult muttered to herself, speaking in her native tongue, she made it across the the walkway of the road as she huffed. 'Pochemu eta strana nastol'ko slozhna? Tak mnogo povorotov, vsegda perepolneno, i tak, tak ... teplo!(Why is this country so complicated? So many twist and turns, always crowded, and so, so...warm!)' She thought annoyed as she finally made it to her destination, Knights Academy. Or from what she could assume from the words of the school building, having at least memorized the written name of the school. With a questioning look on her face she sighed, realizing this place was probably as complicated as the streets of the city. "Chto zh... (Well...)" she whispered, looking at the school with a solemn gaze "Novyy den' dlya novogo mira (A new day for a new world)" with her self encouraging words, she moved forward to the school.

Having walked in, she had a semi-easy time finding the office where she would receive her schedule. The problem being so many people, she couldn't understand their need to push into her personal space. The REAL issue was when she looked down at the schedule...not really understand some of the words. Luckily, her studies of the english language helped pick the estimated essential parts, such as "Mrs....Valla" she spoke aloud, her voice with a deep accent. She looked up in confusion before spotting a map, relieved she walked up and examined the plastic hang up. Standing with a dead look in her eyes she bit her bottom lip as she looked over the map. It was then she came to one absolute conclusion.

...She couldn't understand a damn thing on thar map...

Vala stared at her nails, occasionally looking up at the lost students which held onto their timetables for their life, it made her chuckle though that was enough to intimidate some of them. Not many of them seemed to make their way to her though she hadn't checked how large her homeroom class would be this year, luckily all her years she had secured smaller amounts which made her life so much easier than having a large one.

The first student which showed up appeared to be a freshmen as she hadn't recognised his face at all, he stumbled and for the most part looked down rather than up though his punctuality impressed her as a lot of the students would take longer - especially the elders as they would spend time catching up, "Are you alright?" Inquiring curiously as she stared at the pile of books which the boy was clearly occupied with, "There's no need to be afraid, I'm sure enough that you will make some great friendships with the other students" She tried to sound reassuring yet she was clueless as to whether it worked

Yet her attention was taken from the freshmen to a boy which appeared to just be around her height, "Yes, I'm Miss Vala, It's a pleasure to meet you too." She greeted the boy before turning her attention to the rest of the gathering students, "There appears to still be more on the way however I will start letting you inside so that we can speed up the introduction I have prepared for you. I would like for you guys to wait here a moment"

Twisting on the heel, she swiped the keycard, and with her body pushed against it, the door pushed open and she was greeted with the smell and look of her classroom once more, though her focus was elsewhere. She picked up the basket full of zip bags whilst sliding her keycard back in her caridgan pocket.

She quickly found herself outstide of the classroom, ready to announce what she wanted them to do but instead had gotten interrupted by the principal's grandchild who at first greeted her but then seemingly walked into the classroom without a care. Her expression turned to puzzlement as she watched him stride across her classroom to take a seat in the front row. A heavy sigh escaped her mouth as she started to now improvise from her original plan, "Good morning, mister Maxwell." She greeted him before turning her attention to the rest of the students, "I would like for you guys to come in and take a seat where ever you want to. Shortly after everyone has settled down, I will hand out these bags for you to place your phone as well as other valuables you want me to look after in, at the end of this session however you will get the bag back. There's a sticker on the front to write your name on. Now please come in"

Inviting the rest of the students, she walked back into the door with her back keeping the door open for the students as she tightly held onto the plastic basket, peering down to double check if every bag had a sticker like she promised.

Inviting the rest of the students, she walked back into the door with her back keeping the door open for the students as she tightly held onto the plastic basket, peering down to double check if every bag had a sticker like she promised.

His relief at being at the correct place was almost visible. When Ms. Vala said she was in fact Ms. Vala his nervousness began to fade, eventually returning him to his regular, calm demeanor. "Thank you. Oh sure, I don't mind." It was during the short time they were waiting that he first noticed the clumsy looking freshman standing there, and thought to himself, 'I wonder how long he's been there. Wait, is a freshman in the same class as me? I guess that shouldn't be too surprising considering the way this school is formatted.' His focus was turned to the teen, who looked to be a similar age as him, that waltzed right into the classroom ahead of them. Magnus had a slightly odd feeling when first seeing him, but he was able to quickly brush it off. He then filtered into the classroom with the other students at the teacher's instruction and took a seat in the middle.

Ms. Vala's request had him wondering if all the teachers would require them to turn in their phones he set his on his desk. If they all did he decided it would just be easier to not bring it at all. He lived in the dorms now after ask so he could probably get by without it during school hours. He only had a few contacts in it after all, just his guardian and as well as a few friends from over the years that he barely kept in touch with anymore. But he was here to start a new life, to leave all that behind and make new friends.

As she scanned through their course assessment paper, Divinity jotted down a few notes of the areas where she'd need to put some extra work in on. Overall, however, the class seemed to be pretty basic. It shouldn't take too long at all for her to adjust to this new school year. Last year had been so wild, and took quite a long time to adjust to. Especially going out on missions. So she was determined to start off this with a bit more mental preparation. Only one year left, and then she'd be putting school behind her... It seemed both thrilling and terrifying to grow so close to adulthood. Looking up from her books with a wide grin as a familiar voice rang through the air, Divinity waited for Oran to come sit by her but it seemed he hadn't noticed her all the way at the back of the classroom. Pouting slightly as she gathered her things with a sigh, the young woman made her way to the front of the room and took a seat beside Oran. "Morning Babe." She greeted causally as she placed her book on the table, the indifference in her gaze showing her minor annoyance at his failure to recognize her amongst the crowd. He'd seemed more interested in talking to the new pretty young teacher... Not that Divinity was prone to jealousy. She rarely ever... Alright, secretly she still struggled with it. Despite it being a year she still hadn't adjusted to being in a proper relationship. Though that was mainly do to her ex's example. Bruno set a pretty low bar to follow. Noticing another person seeming to struggle a bit up in front of class, Divinity smiled brightly and waved to the new boy with chains hanging from his hands as he made his way to the center of the class. She tried to at least be on a social level with everyone in her classes, so perhaps she offer to help him find his next class... Yeah, he probably wouldn't find that intrusive.

Oran really didn't notice Divinity sitting at the back of the classroom, he was greeting the teacher and the new students, but he lightened up when he heard her voice "Oh! divinity! I don't know you were here... I'm sorry I didn't see you... good morning though" he said rubbing the back of his head and turning around to face the teacher when she grabbed the basket with the plastic bags for this belongings "I don't need one Ms. Vala, I didn't bring my phone with me".

Dr. Maxwell was going through the paperwork he had on his desk and he came across something really interesting, more criminal activity from the S.I.N organization. Their sudden rise of activity was alarming and it was a bit overwhelming for the pro heroes out working, maybe he would start having the students start going on helping mission, like scouting and rescueing mission.... but first he had to make sure they're ready. I'll have to talk to Mr.Thelonius about a special task..." he sent him an email so that they could have a meeting.

Miri peaked into the class room, only her head visible around the corner. She took in the view, gaze narrowing in on the teacher, blonde lady on the smaller side, there was another blonde one but she was taller like a model maybe, she was a gal in her own grade, Diane? Davy? She scratched her own head of dark curls, something like that. Some blonde rando with some pretty rad jewelry, he seemed new, neat. Also a new freshman, two newbies, she'd have to keep an eye on them. And then the principles grandson, Davy's boyfriend? She shrugged and let the rest of her body come into view in the doorway.

"Miss Vala?" She called, raising a hand in greeting, "Hope I'm not tardy," she glanced around to the other students already seated. "Miriam David, reporting for duty ma'am." Giving a casual salute.

He'd been there as early as he could be. When security unlocked the academic building at three minutes after five he was right there, eyes almost as starry as the nebula on his tie. Thelonius had given boisterous thanks and made his way to his new classroom, humming all the way through the dimly lit halls. Unlocking the door he stood in awe of his space, the standard classroom he was to make into a comfortable learning environment. A challenge worthy of any hero.

Taking a moment to admire every aspect of it no matter how mundane, like how clean the black board was or the sheer amount of desk space he had, the massive oak that grew just outside the window, he fell into simple tasks in preparation. The light was creeping up over the treeline outside the window, gleaming off the desk and it truly felt like a new beginning.

-Two and A-Half Hours Later-

The sun now shone strongly through the wide windows, the door propped open so students could wander in as the morning progressed. Soft R&B music played softly from the laptop on the teachers desk, dulling the sharp sound of chalk on board. Thelonious finished the final character of his name with a flourished swoop, talking a step back to admire his name, legibly written in his hodgepodge handwriting, somewhere between cursive and print.

Mr. Thelonius Wellington

Yataka nodded quietly as the teacher tried to assure him. Unfortunately for him, he had been through this too many times and had always let his clumsy side show somehow.
"Im fine.. just.. nervous." He replied breifly. He wanted to say something more to her, but wasnt quite sure what to say. Instead, he simple entered the classroom and say in one of the desks closest to the door. He placed his books underneath the desk, and sat down.

"Uh.. Miss Vala?" He began "I dont actually...have a phone" He admitted quietly, hoping only she would hear. Being from a small village, he hadnt ever gotten a phone. They relied more in face-to-face interaction rather than technology. He worried that if others found out, he'd be made fun of somehow.

He glanced around the room, noticing right away that some students were already familiar with one another. So far, it seemed he was the only new student.

Growing a bit impatient with the email he sent to Mr.Thelonius, he check over and over to see if he got a reply. After the 30th time he realized that he didn't even send it... he was bad with all this new technology. He got fed up with it so he'll just go and see him in person. Adam walked down the school's halls and took a moment to see how beautiful the campus was, he was very proud of it. He shook his head and headed over to Thelonius classroom, once he got there, he fixed his tie and knocked on the door. Hopefully he wasn't too busy at the moment and they can have a talk about the task he had in mind.

Nora entered Ms. Vala's classroom nearly bursting with excitement. Taking a bag from the teacher and making sure to not forget her manners she picked out a random seat. Though she recognized some faces from her old school but this was a new year, new school, so best make new friends right?

Looking down at the bag that Ms. Vala had provided her she wondered what counted as a 'valuable' and why she needed to put them in there along with her phone for safekeeping. She had her own bag that she used to carry her items. Were they going to do something exciting? Maybe show their skills so the teacher could do their job to the best of their ability? Or maybe she didn't want anything to get stolen. It was also possible that she wanted students to pay attention in class so that's why she took the phones, but what about the other 'valuables.' Once again Nora was over thinking things, it didn't help that she was excited either.

Nora jotted down her name on the sticker provided on the bag and stuck her phone in: she would ask what the teacher meant by valuables once class started.

Theo had lost himself in some menial tasks, straightening a set of books by his desk or moving the trash bin 2 centimeters to the left, He buzzed around the room, humming along to the quiet music and taking quick sips from the coffee cup on his desk. Truth betold it was just a steamer, espresso gave him headaches. A pair of steps echoed from the threshhold as the door swung open, he turned his attention away from his task, ready to welcome his first student.

"Good mo- Principle Maxwell!" His smile grew when he saw the older man, a familiar face even from his time here. Navigating through the desks to meet him. "Good morning!" He said again, "It's good to see you, but what to I owe the pleasure?"

Adam waved at the young teacher and walked inside the empty classroom "Hello Thelonius, I see that you're ready for the first day of school... but you didn't get the notice that your cfirst class is tomorrow? I believe it was Heroics 101" he looked around the classroom and to be honest he had never seen a classroom like Thelonius, he even had music going on the background "well you and Ms.Vala will be sharing the students, she gets them today and you tomorrow... but anyway I'm here to talk about a plan I have in mind. We need to get the kids ready for the real world out there, so you should take them out for the weekend to the forest and have them work together so that they make it out live"
