“Yeah i think we have a grill in the back” turning around as soon as he heard someone land in the backyard, serenity landed on the flowers that he worked hard to keep beautiful “SERENITY! Couldn’t you have arrived like a normal person and walk in through the door?” Immediately after he heard someone land on the roof and then Yvette came through the door with a flashy entrance “never mind, there’s no point. Food and drinks in the back” he pointed to the table outside as he finished setting up everything “I’ll tell you after the party” finally replying to Divinity. The surprise he had planned would surely make her happy and ease her mind a bit. Oran pulled out his phone and connected it to the speakers then played some music to set the mood for the party. Everyone started showing up and the house was soon full of teens hanging out.

DannyGirl~ wrote:“Yeah, I’ve been pushing through.” Divinity teased back softly while leaning against the counter. Nodding in greeting to Nagare as he followed in after Magnus, she then continued with a slightly forced bright smile. “You and Oran have been helping a lot, thank you for that.” Turning around in excitement as Oran enter the room, the young woman swiftly turned to cling onto him. There was the boy she’d been wait to see all night. “Speak of the devil.” Waiting patiently as he spoke to the other’s, she noticed his slight hesitancy as he rubbed the back of his head. Was something wrong? The place wasn’t really set up yet, but it was actually nice to have the extra hands to help. Plus Magnus had brought the drinks, so she’d expected him to be a little early.
“Oh Babe! What’s my surprise?” She whispered softly, her gaze brimming with genuine excitement as she met his gaze. Divinity really loved surprises. Probably due to her power ruining anything that she had time to sleep on. So spontaneous surprises always left her slightly giddy.
However she was soon distracted by Serenity yelling by the door. Quite rudely by the end of it. “Girl you have got to learn to only pack as much as you can carry on your back.” Shaking her head as she ran over to help, Divinity smiled a little wider as Yvette suddenly burst through the doors.
“Hey!” It had been a week since she’d seen her friend, so tired or no she was full of energy. Hugging her tightly before noticing her shirt, Divinity point down at her own with a bright laugh.
I am Babe.
A shirt she’d paired with a red leather jacket, a short black skirt, some fish net leggings, an array of silver necklaces, some hoop earrings, and a gorgeous pair of black wedges. She’d wanted to wear her studded stilettos, but decided against it. As someone who was already 6’, she didn’t want to tower over everyone with the extra 8 inches.
Not at a causal party at least.
Inviting everyone in as Rel appeared, Divinity taped a note to the door as she escorted them back to the kitchen.
Come on in Wink
“Nope, actually you’re all a bit early. But that’s alright, right darling?” She explained in response to Yvette’s question before pulling all the salmon she’d fried out of the microwave. Honestly she hadn’t known about the party, she’d just own Oran would snack on it throughout the week so she’d made more than enough for everyone to try some. Then she’d ran to the pantry before coming out with assorted bags of chips and bottles of soda. Finally grabbed plastic utensils and paper plates, Divinity set everything up before tucking her blonde locks back behind her ear. “Give me ten and I’ll have some dip done that will knock your socks off. I can make some sauce for the shrimp as well! If there’s one thing this household does right it’s seafood.”
She was pretty used to working in the kitchen to help out Oran, so she knew where everything was. Taking a moment to set up Serenity’s grill, the teen then tossed the boys some sauce to put the steaks on before turning to work on the dip and sauce.
Sure enough, about ten minutes later she’d finished both with some borrowed help for cutting up vegetables. Setting them both up before glancing over at the drinks, Divinity thought them over while organizing the bottles. “I’m a pretty good mixer, what drinks are you guys feeling?” She asked causally before glancing down to Rel. “How about a virgin Cuba Libre for you?” She teased softly through a chuckle, though was serious about not giving alcohol to the freshman.

Errant Singularity wrote:"Well, I think hanging from my feet would work best..." Considering for a moment, he decided against, remembering the last time he tried to fly someone that way. Poor Arnold's legs would never be the same again. "Actually, nah, piggyback works. Probably safer." Crouching down a bit and putting his arms back, he waited for her to get on. The moment he could feel weight, he blinked and imagined the world blue, activating his aura. Jumping up, he called back.

"Wait wait I forgot, used up all my auras in the greenho-It's working!" He tried to hide his utter shock, at both forgetting he recently used up his auras, as well as the fact that it still turned on. Kicking his arms up, he nearly tossed Miri off his back, carefully grabbing her back down before bolting through the air like a racecar. Sailing over traffic, he did his best to avoid anything that may hit into his passenger, before overshooting the house and landing the two of them on the roof. Skidding to a stop, he swooped up again and through the front door, landing them on a table. Letting Miri off, he pointed dramatically to the window. "And guess who's arriv-Woah woah woah!" Forgetting to turn off his aura, he floated to and bumped into the roof head first, turned it off and landing on the floor. "-ved!" he called out triumphantly, pumping a thumbs up into the air.

"Steaks, and shrimp. In hindsight, I should have grabbed some coal, and maybe some Cajun seasoning or something. I was sorta distracted. But oh well. It happens, ya know?" He finished talking just as the door opened. "Yo" was all he said as he followed Magnus in. "Thanks for the party, you two. It'll be nice to chill out for a bit." He smiled, holding the bad of food for the couple to see. Nagare rubbed the back of his neck nervously when the topic of midterms came up. He wasn't really involved in the conversation, but it still bothered him, given how his scores looked. "Show off" He sighed as he walked past Magnus, looking for a place to set the food. "Let's hurry and get cooking! I'd like to have these done by the time the party starts!"

[Yataka]
It had been a while since he had seen the others. During the day of the mall attack, he had taken the day to go visit his hometown and his family. He had enjoyed his stay, but was shocked and upset to find he hadn't been there when his friends were in danger. But, he did his best to shove it to the back of his mind, knowing it wasn't really his fault. During the midterms, he did well enough to score a passing mark. When he had free time, he would often return home and spend more time with his family

He had hesitated to go, but when the date of the party actually arrived, he decided he wanted to go. Of course, a trip from home to Divinity and Orans house would nothing, even if he couldn't teleport to the house directly, so he felt no pressure to hurry. Instead, he spent more time with his  family. About an hour before the party, Yataka said his farewells and teleported to a marked location in his dorm. He figured the casual wear he was wearing would be enough an began heading that way, making it around the same time as the others

Magnus retorted back to Nagare with a grin, "Hey if you wanted good grades too you could've just asked me. Oh yeah these shouldn't take too long to cook, but it doesn't look like Oran has a grill." As he said that Serenity arrived and offered one of her grills that she just happened to be carrying around. "I'm surprised you had one on you, but I'll gladly use it. Thanks!" Divinity set up the grill just outside, lighting it with a few small but powerful sparks. With the grill lit he opened up the sauces that Divinity gave them and found a tool from the kitchen to slather the steaks with them and he peppered them up. He also used some of the sauce on the shrimp but set them aside. "Nagare, find some other spices that you'd think would go well with the shrimp and then we can barbecue them as well." Magnus placed the steaks on the lit barbecue and a few minutes later a great smell began wafting inside. "Shouldn't be much longer now." He opened the screen door and peeked his head into the house, calling out to everyone, "The steaks are almost ready guys!"

Quite a few of the people from their class had already arrived, just from where he was he could see Yvette, Serenity, Silver, Rel, and Yataka had made it. Miri and Varen landed outside where they were, seemingly Varen had flown them to the party. "Sup Miri, Varen! Glad to see you guys could here."

Errant Singularity wrote:Picking himself off the ground, his pants already stained with a little dirt, Varen looked around to spot who was here. Noticing a good chunk of their class inside, he could only spot Divinity, Magnus, and Nagare outside at the moment. Looking down at his palm, he could see the blue aura had winked out, the rest still able to be used. Speeding himself up, golden light bathing everyone around him as he did, he stole a bag of jalapeno nachos from the table and appeared back in his spot, toothing away at the corner of the bag and struggling to open it.

"Hey uh, you guys working the meat? I'd like mine rare, like, extra rare. Foods best when it fights back before you can eat it, but rare works too." Finally ripping open the package, he caught every falling chip in his hand and made a bowl in his lap out of the largest ones, then plopped the rest inside his new construct. Carefully munching on the corner of one, he offered part of his kill to Nagare, a pair of chips in his palm. "Guessing you guys'll get hungry out here."

"Oh really-" Their speedy ascent made Miri release a small 'peep' in surprise. Her grip on Varen tightened but it wasn't enough at their velocity and she shifted precariously from the safety of his back. "Varen!" Other than that she was stunned to silence, only a death grip on Varen as they proceeded to the festivities.

And suddenly her feet were on the ground. Or atleast a flat surface. She wobbled a bit, dizzy from their descent and very sudden change in scenery. As Varen announced their arrival and proceeded to knock himself onto the floor, she unfolded her hands in a flourish, "Ta-da~" She said woozily, as if she were swooning but alas just dizzy.

Gaining her composure she eased herself from the tabletop onto the porch, where they seemed to be grilling. She gave Magnus a wave walking up to inspect, "Heyyyo! What's cooking?" She eased her sunglasses (thankfully she hadn't lost them on the rocky ride) down her nose to get a better look at the grill. "Mmm looks good fellas. But alas I'm feeling more parched rather than hungry, you know where a gal could find a certain blonde? Tall? Angelic? Mixes one heck of a Bee's Knees?" Of course she was talking about Divinity. She could feel the weight of her flask in her shirt still. That may have been the one thing she would have been actually been mad at Varen for if she had lost it on the way over.

He got a plate from a nearby stack, dropped a steak on it, and handed it to Varen. "Let us know how it tastes though I'm not sure anymore if I can trust your taste buds." He chuckled at Varen's offer of chips, "I'm trying to save space for the steak, thanks though."

It was obvious that Miri wasn't used to flying, especially not with somebody as reckless as Varen, by the way she slowly recovered. But at least she managed to stay on her feet. "Oh yeah my cuz is inside. She's probably near the kitchen. Just make sure you're steady on your feet for at least a bit before you start drinking haha."

"That reminds me, I shouldn't be wasting all this time not drinking!" He turned to the two others near him and Miri, "Nagare, Varen, do you guys want anything to drink as well?"

Looking down at her phone, Adriella saw the messages come in about the party... She left the usual, in a nameless text block: Kk and left it at that. She was too worried she'd screw something up, or someone would do something stupid and hurt her... But, she was curious. With Clare going off to see her father, she couldn't see the party in the drawings now... So she was going to have a boring night.

Raiding the buried fridge of the dorm, Adriella ate one of Clares chocolate puddings she always left for desert, as well as a few cans of her iced tea. It was nice when she was gone, as she could do whatever she wanted in the dorm... But it was also boring. And empty. And lonely. She thought of doing a little drawing like Clare did all the time, or trying one of her instruments, but she knew she wouldn't be as good. Getting more bored, she decided to change from her dress and into a pair of black jeans and a grey tshirt, with a purple vest on top. She was going to the party, no stupid worries were gonna stop her.

As she opened the door, she slammed it shut and hid. A bird almost got her throat. Looking out the window, she turned her finger into a rock, detaching it and throwing the rock at the bird. It was a seagull, the type of bird that circled you on the beach, waiting for you to show weakness before pouncing. She had to be careful. Turning the stump of a finger back into her regular one, she shouted "Shoo! Shoo! Go away! Janitor!" Running as fast as she could through the gate, she booked it down the road, taking random twists and turns on the way. Bumping into a rather average looking boy, she squeaked a reply, completely ineligible, before scooting back on the sidewalk.

Looking down at her phone, then at her GPS, then at a replica of her phone made from her hand, she figured this was the place. The party was here, but it seemed rather quiet at the moment... And, why was such an ordinary looking boy here? "S-sorry!" She scooted by Yataka, entering the house and hiding in the corner of the entry room, by an old couch. "This was a bad idea..." She mumbled to herself, smelling fire come from the porch. The house was on fire, great...

"Hey,  Miri, uh..." Getting down on one knee, Varen fiddled with his hands for a moment. Looking up at her, he said "Yur shoe got untied on the flight, fixed it." He got back up, resuming his post by the grill. Head popping up, he turned around, his nacho bowl in hand. "Wanna chip?" Responding to Magnus, he nodded happily as he took the steak. Chewing on the side of it, ripping some chunks out, he commented. "Good seasoning at least, can't find this stuff when hunting usually. Woah that's actually a good idea, bring it with me."

Grinning ear to ear, he answered Magnus again "Straight rums good for me!"

“Right. I don't like to rely on others too much. Otherwise, my achievements aren't mine. It's fine anyways. I at least passed.”. Nagare was slightly disappointed before Serenity donated them a grill. “Thanks Syrupy..or whatever your name is! Much appreciated!” Nagare nodded to Magnus and moved away, heading into the house to find some spices to use on the shrimp. He found a spice rack, and began picking through the bottles. “Season salt, Cajun seasoning, and paprika.” He listed the spices off as he grabbed them. He carried them back to Magnus and set them down. “How about these? Will they work?” He asked. The smell of the steak made his mouth water slightly, but what he was looking forward to was the shrimp. It was his favorite food overall, but it was rare for him to eat it.

“Rare? I suppose we could do that. Raw meat was all I had as a child, since I had to hunt and feed myself. I never bothered cooking it. But now that I have tasted cooked meat, it's just so much better. Two small tendrils extended from his hand, grabbing the chips and moving then to his mouth. He chewed for a moment before swallowing. “Thanks, bud.”

Nagare hesitated for a moment when Magnus offered a drink. “I don't really drink much...but sure. Ill take one.

Looking up from her dishes as Oran promised to tell her after the party, Divinity pouted. If the party went until 6am that’d be no good. If she fell asleep at any point her visions would ruin the surprise for her! He had to be more prompt than that, he should’ve known that by now. Opening her mouth to protest, the young woman cut herself off as more party guests arrived in a blur. One of who began calling for her.
“Wow Miri, you sure know how to sweet talk a girl! Give Oran pointers sometime.” She replied in a preppy and joking light hearted tone, before smiling at her last comment. Maybe she should give up the hero life and open a bar, she’d probably see all these guys more after they graduated if she went that route. “One Bee’s Knee coming right up for my girl with the killer fashion sense! Seriously though talk about party shades! We’ll have to take all the girls out more often so I can eventually see the whole collection.” Winking as she extended her hand out to Miri, Divinity waited for her to pull out her gin. She knew that she’d probably have some from her dad on her, the good stuff. Miri’s dad kept her in better supply than her own parents. Which was saying a lot. Though Miri was also a lot more reserved with her supply. Divinity was used to sharing pretty much whenever she was asked to.
Accepting the bottle before beginning to mix up her drink, the blonde giggled softly as Magnus came in to put in orders. “Give me just a second, and I’ll whip those up for you.”
She focused on the drinks for a few minutes, before glancing up as she finished. It looked like almost everyone had arrived. The place was getting a little packed. “Did none of you guys bring dates? Either way, I still reserve the right to make out with Oran when or if I feel like it throughout the night. PDA does not apply to off campus parties.” Warning them half jokingly as she passed out the glasses, Divinity finished up the food and put it out before pulling a tray out for the steaks.
“Dang those smell awesome guys! Bring them in!” She cheered before turning back to the group already inside. “Who else wants a drink?” Taking sip of the peach cocktail she’d mixed for herself, Divinity slowly found it easier to relax.
The party had been a really good idea, she was happy to finally get her mind off the visions. Tonight she could focus on the good possible futures ahead of them.
She’d really needed that.

Magnus followed Miri into the house to get drinks for himself and his buddies. He picked up the three drinks meant for them and headed back outside. He called back to Divinity as he slipped outside, "Thanks for the drinks! But no, I don't know anybody here well enough yet to bring them as a date."

Once outside he passed the drinks to his friends. The rum for Varen and he had requested a Long Island Iced Tea for Nagare. He figured since Nagare wasn't used to drinking it'd be better to give him something that tasted good, but it'd plenty strong for one drink. Magnus decided to start off with a Vodka Redbull, it'd help get him through the long night of partying. He held out his glass to the others, "Cheers! To a night of good partying and finally some decent stress relief."

After downing his drink Magnus turned to the steaks, poking them with the tool. "Well these are ready, I'll take them inside." Piling the steaks up into a glass container he brought them back inside and placed them next to a stack of plates and utensils. Raising his voice loud enough for everyone to hear, "The steaks are done! Get 'em while they're still hot! Remember only one per person until everyone gets their share! Oh and make sure to thank Nagare for buying the steaks and cooking them with me. Enjoy!" Magnus took a piece and quickly scarfed it down, he really had been hungry. Turning back to Nagare and Varen he told them, "I'm going to go mingle for a bit then meet back up with you guys."

"Yo Divs, fix me up another drink please! I've got a pretty good tolerance for someone my age!" He had decided he'd go mingle with his other classmates and maybe some of the people from other classes as well. Retrieving his second drink from his cousin he scanned the room for a moment before noticing Rel standing in a corner. He waved and walked over, there was something he was curious about. "Hey Rel, how's the party treating you?"

Iskios wrote:Magnus followed Miri into the house to get drinks for himself and his buddies.

"Yo Divs, fix me up another drink please!" He had decided he'd go mingle with his other classmates and maybe some of the people from other classes as well. Retrieving his second drink from his cousin he scanned the room for a moment before noticing Rel standing in a corner. He waved and walked over, there was something he was curious about. "Hey Rel, how's the party treating you?"
Rel stood around, Fugue a top her head as she idly listened to the others. Too young to drink, she didn't really have much to do besides wait for food. Fugue fluttered wildly, signaling the approach of another, her head swiveled about as Magnus called out to her. Finding her bearing, she smiled "Oh! Magnus, how are you?" She bowed slightly. "The party? Well..." she began "It's always nice hearing everyone talk! Hearing all the voices mingle is the best I can get" she fiddled with her hands bashfully, "But, I can't really do anything...I don't know the layout of the house, and stuff, and I can't drink. Parties are kind of hard when you can't see apparently" She laughed awkwardly, though her laugh was a more depressed sounding than an actual laugh.

Rel's complaints about not being able to properly enjoy the party were exactly what Magnus was curious about. He had an idea for a possible solution. "Give me just a sec, Rel." He began to walk around the house, scanning around for every detail, letting his hands brush against various objects and walls and doorways. "That should be plenty." Walking back to Rel he held out his left hand, "I've decided to give you a little present, hold out your left hand. This'll take a moment." As the girl did so, he clasped her hand and he began analyzing a subset of her memory. Specifically the memories pertaining to how she viewed the world through her blind lens. A few more moments were spent modifying his own memories of the house and the party that he had just obtained into a form that she'd be able to understand. And finally he embedded those new memories within her mind, allowing her to "see" the party and even be able to navigate the house. "That should help a little. Tell me if anything needs adjustments."

Groggily, Coco shuffles to the side of her bed rolling into a human equivalent of a burrito. She stares to the other side of her dorm room trying to desperately crawl motivation out of the pits of her soul, and manages to plop down to the floor from her bed. The party was today, and honestly Coco just wishes she could continue napping even though it’s an excellent opportunity to socialize. With a fat wail she finally gets up and makes her way to the closet.
Upmost laziness overcomes her body, but she picks some frilly dress so she doesn’t have to coordinate an actual outfit, and busts out the door towards the party.

After a while of admiring the scenery, she drew close to the location and for some reason, she could feel her heartbeat begin to fasten as she inched closer to the doors. And with one short breath, her night began.

Immediately, the atmosphere had a 180 turn, from quiet streets to live music, people mingling and the sizzles of food, subconsciously her lips tipped upwards. She giddily walks over to an empty seat
and munches on the food that was provided at a table while examining the commotion.

"Eh, cooked meat just doesn't have the right taste to me." Varen gulped down the last piece of meat, continuing. "It's kinda like you take the happy out of the steak, or something." Finishing up his chips, he sat there somewhat bored, still hungry and wishing there was more to do at the moment. Turning as Magnus made his dramatically average return, he accepted the bottle of rum happily. The light burn from the liquid was inviting, making him bite down on the bottle a bit while tilting his head full back. "Err-shanks!" He gurgled around it, spilling some on his lap, forgetting his manners. "Like I said, food, shu fight back ha!"

Grunting in the back of her throat, Serenity begrudgingly accepted a steak. The seasoning was a bit strong, and it could've done with maybe twenty seconds less on the grill, not to mention how they didn't use a pan at all to baste it. She would've done a better job if they had just asked. As a bottle was offered to her by one of the boys from a different class, she curled her lips back and turned her face away, braid smacking at his hands like a misbehaving child. Scooting away, she ended up over by Rel and Magnus. "I didn't even know you were blind! You're so brave, uh... Purell?" She began to look a little nervous, not remembering the girls name. How could she forget such a heroic persons name!

Adriella slowly squished herself further into the corner, trying to hide herself from the rather aggressive walking people nearby. Deciding camouflage was the best bet for now, she slumped herself down into a shape resembling a blob on the floor, before turning her outer layering into that of a beanbag. It wasn't a full transformation, but it'd be good enough to hide her for the first while. Peeping out the side with the camera of her phone, she watched as the party became more packed and active. So this was what a party was like, it was... Kind of gross, and smelly, but it looked interesting at least! Something blotting out her vision, she suppressed a squeal of shock as someone sat on her beanbag form, unable to knock them off of herself.

[Nagare]
Nagare nodded silently as Magnus left. He grabbed a steak, coating his hand in a thin layer of bone to keep it from burning him. He took a bite from the steak and grabbed the Long Island that Magnus had brought back to him. Magnus had a good idea. It was a party, a great opportunity to make some new friends. He took a drink of the tea before leaving the grill, and looking for someone to mingle with. Divinity? Nah. Shed be busy with Oran, which also meant Oran wasn't an option. That left Varen, Rel, Miri, Yvette and Adriella. That witch. He wanted to talk with them all, but of then all, Yvette stood out the most. He took another drank and wandered off in her direction. “Yo! Yvette, right? Nice shirt. I should get one for myself” He joked, hoping she wouldn't mistake it for bullying. “We haven't really spoken much. No better time than now, right? Im Nagare”. He started to extend a hand for a handshake, but one hand was carrying his tea, and the other his steak.

[Yataka]
People had already started drinking. Yataka never understood the appeal of drinking, but he didn't particularly care that others did it. His goal at this party was to make a few more friends. First on his list was Divinity and Oran, the hosts. It didn't take long for him to spot either, with Divinity making her claim on Oran already. Hopefully she could hold off long for him to thank them for the party. He finally mustered the courage to walk over to them, waving his hand “Hey guys! Thanks for the party! And thanks for inviting me!” He smiled. At the end of his sentence, a bag of chips appeared in his hands, seemingly from nowhere.

"Hey, hey don't leave me ere!" Varen was sad to see Nagare and Magnus leave, but it was probably fine. He could go visit with the others instead. Picking himself up, he emptied the last of the bottle down his gullet, wiping off the bit of spilt rum on his leg. Wandering through the crowd, he grabbed one of the little rice balls, definitely Serenitys work, she loved rice balls. This one was sweet, almost too sweet really, least for Varen. Looking around, he noticed Silver off to the side. Going over to him and offering him two little riceballs on a saucer, he started talking. "Hey, uh, what's up? Why you not doing stuff with everyone else?"

Yvette spent her time watching her classmates mingle about, she was slightly shocked at the amount of alcohol. Despite her home country's notoriety on alcohol, Yvette was not a fan of the substance. Every part of her heroic fiber was telling her to do something, but after multiple attempts on their lives in various locations...she figured it'd be best to let it slide for now. So, she merely ate her stake, but was then approached by Nagare, a classmate she had little interaction with. "Hello, thank you for compliment. Our Bestie-Divinty got us shirt." She noted looking down at it, though she puzzled at his words "You vish to patrol Bestie-Divinty as well?" She questioned. "Ve are Yvette Victoria, pleasure to be meeting you!"

Rel's reaction was a lot more boisterous than he expected. Then suddenly there was a bird flapping around in front of him and the short girl was hugging him. "Oh haha, wow I'm glad you like it so much. I didn't really know how well it'd wor- woah I'm feeling surprisingly happy all of a sudden. Like really, really happy! Are you using your power right now, Rel? Oh well, I don't really mind I guess haha." After she let go he scanned the room for a second, "Oh I know just what to do. You should talk to the other students too and get to know people. Nagare and Yvette over there are a good place to start since you've already met Nagare." He patted her on the back to guide her towards the other two and once they got close enough he spoke up again, "Hey Nagare, Yvette keep Rel company! I'm going to go around and meet new people myself."

He began to walk around the room, feeling the alcohol slight but mostly feeling elated because of Rel's power. Stopping for a moment he realized he was forgetting something, "Oh that's right! I need more alcohol." So he made his way over to his cousin who was still mixing drinks for everyone, "Sup Divs! I'm feeling really happy so I'm going to go around and meet new people, another drink would help with that, pretty please!"

It had been much longer than the week Elizabeth had promised, before Nimue had finally resurfaced. She’d expected herself to overcome the knowledge of her brother much more quickly, but the truth was it wasn’t that simple. Even the half of her that was present in Nimue had been upset by the discovery, which didn’t happen often. Though it was to a much lesser degree than her own, Elizabeth had though Nimue was incapable of feeling any form of human emotion. Something was happening. The longer they stayed on Earth the stranger things become.
Things didn’t make sense like in the demonic realm.
Nimue couldn’t comprehend it yet either.
Readjusting was proving to be a challenge neither of them desired.
“Elizabeth, what’s wrong Dear? You’ve hardly touched your supper.” Glancing up to meet the gaze of a beautiful nearly porcelain like older woman, Nimue forced a smile while slowly relaxing her strict posture. This was the one human who she trusted wholeheartedly. The one who would never abandon her. At least by choice.
While Oran was a perfect replica of their father, Nimue bore a much more striking resemblance of her mother. Though they had some differences, it still made her feel happy in a sense. To still truly have a piece of her.
Setting the thought aside, the young woman shook her head in reassurance before slowly eating her dinner. In truth she wasn’t very found of her mother’s cooking, however she couldn’t bring herself to disappoint her in anyway so she ate her meals everyday regardless. Their was something about being home that set her at ease. Maybe it was because of that night.
“Mother, I need to leave again.” She whispered softly, while standing to clear the table. “So soon? It’s only been a few weeks...” Shaking her head as the woman stood to help her, Nimue finished up on her own. Taking the extra moments to prepare herself to the outside world.
It was for the best.
She couldn’t give into the false comfort for long.
“...I know, I’m sorry. I’ll try to visit more often.” Promising as her mother pulled her into a warm embrace, Nimue stiffened before slowly accepting. The unusual physical contact left her with a small form of comfort, when coming from the one person she trusted. It was as if she’d healed some part of her.
Though deep down she knew that that too was an illusion.
She wore one last smile as she pulled away, before her eyes flashed blue and she seemed to disappear. Shortly after she reappeared in the forest, glancing back at the old large building tucked away within the trees. Her precious home.
The one her father had forgotten.
Closing her eyes as she disbursed again, Nimue’s resolve strengthened. She’d been sending Apolo to keep track of Oran, and had finally found an opening to see him. Some sort of an elaborate gathering was taking place, with individuals of all ethnicities and apparel. Which meant she’d have a much higher chance of blending in than at the mall. Hopefully.
If everything went according to plan, she could finally learn more about him. All Apolo had discovered, given the distance span she’d placed, was where he went to school, his home address, and a general depiction of his mate.
No that wasn’t quite right.
What was the human word...
Dating?
Dating and mating sounded all but the same, their couldn’t be that many differences between the human form and the demonic relative.
But she could look into that later.

Tilting her head back with a laugh as one of the freshman nervously approached her, Divinity shot him a wink before starting on her second drink. “No problem, Yataka.” She paused a moment as a bag of chips suddenly appeared in his hands, before grinning in realization. “Okay, okay, we’ve got a speedster in the house. Why not take it to the dance floor? I’d pay to see a dance off between you and Yvette!” Eyes sparkling as she thought over the possibility, the young woman swiftly slid Magnus a drink as he came for a second glass. Looked like the bad habit ran in the family. Though it opened up the rather entertaining possibility of a drinking game between the two of them later on in the night. She’d offer immediately, but she didn’t want to pass out so early on in the night. So she simply waved him on as he went to talk to Rel.
“No but seriously, ten bucks if you can out dance a Russian.” She turned back to Yataka seriously before glancing over her shoulder to Oran with a grin. “Babe watcha wanna drink?” Divinity inquired softly while reaching her hand out to hold his, and pull him closer. “This is date night, don’t check out on me~” She whispered into his ear before downing the rest of her drink, and then taking a shot. This was really, really helping with the visions.
“Why don’t you tell me what that surprise was? I’d love to hear...” Attempting to pry as Magnus reappeared, Divinity looked him over before smiling herself as she placed both hands over her mouth before dropping them to chop the counter top. She could wait a few minutes to get her surprise out of Oran. For now she had a new person to interrogate. “I’m going to level with you for a moment Cuz.” She declared seriously while taking another shot before sliding on to him. “I wouldn’t be happy, or probably even stable, if I didn’t have this lovable hunk looking after me for the past year. And I want that same stability and happiness for you... So I think it’s time we found you a girlfriend. I know you said you didn’t know anyone here well enough to bring a date, but I’m going to let you in on a little secret~” Leaning a bit closer to keep their conversation private yet audible in the loud room, Divinity continued with a wink. “New guys totallyyyy have an advantage in the dating game. Their mysterious, automatically seem more attractive than the guys you grew up with, AND they haven’t had a chance to say anything stupid to ruin that yet.”
Pulling back while tugging Oran’s hands around her waist, the blonde nodded her encouragement. “Now is the perfect time to make your move! There must be at least one girl who’s caught your eye this week right? So why not give it a try? Even if no one comes to mind, loosen up! Have some fun! Get out there and flirt a little, or a lot~ Go with whatever seems to be working, all girls like things a little differently. The key is to have confidence! If they say something unencouraging them readjust and try again! Unless it’s that they have a boyfriend, then try your luck somewhere else.”

Looking out the window of the car, Clare wondered why her father was summoning her from school. Her midterm marks had been decent, a mixture of C's and B's, surely he wasn't angry about that. She would have guessed it was about the mall attack, but Renae definitely would have reported about it, and he would have called for her sooner. Tapping the window to the front section of the car, which fell away like water, she inquired. "Did Bruce say why I'm coming?"

"No, no he didn't." The woman at the wheel had dark, navy blue hair, kept up in a messy bun on the back with a crochet hook stuck through. Probably put up as she was leaving, Bruce didn't like waiting on anyone. "But it's fine, right? You're done your tests, all that's going on at school is some party. You hate those, or least that's what you said before." Clare opened her mouth to ask how she knew, but decided against it. She didn't feel like being angry today.

Going up the hills to the happier side of town, Clare became bored as more and more of the same house went by. Rich people had an odd obsession with copying each other, instead of making themselves happy. She couldn't understand it really, and, sadly enough, even school students showed this infuriating behaviour. Half the younger girls and the odd boy here and there dressed just like Divinity and Miri, instead of finding their own thing. It was dull.

Coming to the second to last house before the mayors home, Clare let herself out despite the woman going to open the door for her. She wanted this to be over with already. Opening the door and following the hall to her fathers office, she rang the buzzer to turn on the speaker. "Bruce" was all she said, though he wasn't inside. Confusion crept across her face. Unless he was out doing an interview or on contract for heroing, he never left his office. Looking back at the woman, she waited for an answer, though it came from elsewhere.

"I'm in here Claro! Get to the dining room." A speaker on his desk spoke out, her fathers voice coming through. Sighing and showing a little annoyance, Clare made the needlessly complex trek to the dining room, which was split off from the rest of the house by going up to the second floor then back down to the first, no doors to it on the ground floor. As she came in, she spotted a lineup of cloches on the table, all arranged for only four people.

"What is it." She asked, though an arm of ice cold obsidian from Renae, standing by the door, eased her along to a seat at the head of the table. She never sat there, her spot was third from the left on the far side from the door. "Alright, I'm listening. Now, Bruce, tell me." She sat down, fiddling with the silverware by her plate. Something was wrong. Were they taking her out of school? Did someone die? Was she being forced into an internship with her father? She needed to know.

"Claro, I've told you, call me dad when you're at home. We don't have to be that professional here, sheep aren't watching." The massive man leaned back in his chair, pulling a napkin out from his pocket and placing it on the table, before fishing a letter from his shirt and sliding it across the table to Clare. On the outside, it had the names of all her half brothers and her half sister from the extended family. This was definitely something serious, aside from Nial none of them ever spoke to her. Placing the letter in her pocket for later, she looked at the woman and Renae before back at the table, waiting for her answer.

"Alright, Bruce. I'll call you dad." She crossed her arms, now getting rather annoyed at the situation. Why the secrecy? As the lights went off except some in the corner, her worry became visible. Tensing up in the chair, she waited for something to happen. One of Renaes feral flickers whisked by her nose, singing the very tip of a lock of hair. Trying to ignore it as it went down the top of a cloche, her father reached out across the table and lifted it.

A cake was underneath.

There were eighteen candles.

"Happy birthday Clare!" Her mother called out, smothering her in a hug.

“It's not really speed..” He replied quietly, avoiding any sort of eye contact. “Or..it is? But isn't? It's hard to explain, I think.” Yataka laughed as she challenged him to a dance off with Yvette. “Righhht. I'll get right on that” He joked back, with a smile that faded quickly when he realized she might not be joking. He's nervousness grew when she offered money for it. Honestly, he was actually quite good at dancing, even if he had been clumsier than a one footed, blind dog. But even still, he wasn't confident enough to dance with another person in the room, much less with a whole party watching. Not to mention that he was skilled in ballroom, not the kind you'd do in a dance battle “Ah...Im sorry, but Id have decline. Dance battles aren't really my thing, ya know? Perhaps another time”

"Divinity got you that shirt, huh? That's nice of her- wait. Patrol Bestie-Divinity? That's...not quite what I meant, but nevermind” He laughed, dismissing the topic. He was worried he would accidentally confuse her more if he explained. “It's nice to meet you, Yvette Victoria. To clarify, my full name is Nagare Okono, since you gave me yours” He finished off his steak before pulling up a chair and sitting. He shook his tea a bit before taking another drink. “I guess you're not big on alcohol, huh? Neither am I, but with all that's been going on, I'm just trying to relax. But you know, its a party. So why're you not mingling like everyone else? After all, making friends is important, right? Just be careful of Magnus. Hes a pretty shifty guy” Nagare joked.

"Huh?" He downed the shot she slid to him. She wasn't wrong, it'd be nice having someone around who was focused on you as much as you were on them. He had definitely given it some thought in recent times but he'd never had many chances for that considering he hadn't been going to school for a majority of his life. "But I'm already really happy! Even if that's just because of Rel's power. I mean I don't neeeed a girlfriend... that sounds like too much work." Magnus sat down on a bar stool next to the kitchen counter while he let his cousin try to convince him, which fortunately for his social life she was very good at. "Some of the girls in our class certainly got my 'attention', but I wouldn't call it good attention. Though I guess if I'd be wasting my opportunity as a new guy then maybe... alright fine, I'll do it." He got up and hugged Divinity, then told her playfully, "But I'll need another shot." Downing yet another drink he saluted his cousin and walked off into the spirit of the night.

Scanning the room for what felt like the umpteenth time that night, he looked for any girls from their class that he could recognize. He wasn't really looking for a girlfriend, but Divs was right that he should at least loosen up and enjoy himself. The party was popping and quite full already so he could only spot Serenity, Miri, Yvette, and Rel. Rel was out of the equation for obvious reason. Yvette was talking to Nagare and he didn't want to get in the way of his friend's mingling. Serenity was technically a candidate, but she was also undeniably crazy and he had also been considering playing a prank on her until Rel injected him with happiness so he'd feel bad to then turn around like that. Also she'd probably have tried to kill him, well she'd probably try to in most situations that involved her which was another reason he had decided to stay away while he was a vulnerable drunk person. So Serenity was out of the question too. That left Miri, who was not a last choice by any means. In fact he felt like he'd be most comfortable flirting with her, she'd probably pick up on the social vibes pretty well and she was a cool gal so she'd be fun to hang out with for a bit.

Magnus greeted Miri with a wave and cheers with his new drink, which he had managed to procure somehow on his way over. "How's your night going? The party glasses are a nice touch by the way." His vision was starting to swirl slightly at this point but he was fine otherwise. Though his sense of timing was also off so he continued right away, "Hey, do you want to dance? It's looking pretty lively over there, we can continue talking while we're dancing!" Magnus happened to be very good at dancing having copied the muscle memory from a good dancer awhile back, the alcohol would probably interfere just a bit though.

Disappointing that Rel had been sent away before she got a chance to speak with her, Serenity pouted and slammed her butt to the ground, taking up a spot by the door. She considered going to speak with someone, as everyone else seemed to be, but then she noticed a horrible figure almost directly ahead of her. Sliding on her empty duffel bag in the opposite direction of Nagare, she scooted all the way to the other side of the room, then slipped through into the kitchen. Snatching a bag of pretzels from a boy, who turned to protest, before seeing who it was. Fleeing in terror and retreating to the next room, he allowed her to enjoy her snack in peace.

The music sucked. The food was meh, except the stuff she made for everyone when they were busy coming in. Half the people were drunk already, which also sucked. She was starting to consider why she even came here. Waltzing over to a guy on a beanbag, she lifted him up and flopped him onto the chair nearby, which prompted him to retreat the kitchen as well. Going to sit down on the cushioning appliance, she yelped as her butt met hardwood.

Watching a short girl sprint away from her, her torso covered in a thin layer like a beanbag chair, she whipped out two braids and plucked her off the ground. Bringing her close, she poked Adriella in the face a few times, before being smacked a few times in return. Remembering not to harm the younger grades in a group of witnesses, she flopped her to the ground and demanded "What's yur name pipshriek? Everyone else here I know but you're new. You one of old Suckswells kids?" She poked her with her foot a few times, before watching her run off to the bar.

Adriella made a light run to the bar, where she knew she would be safe. She'd already been sat on, picked up and dropped, kicked, and on the way here two guys she didn't know tried talking to her. She wasn't cut out for this, especially not without Clare around. She knew the blue haired girl who almost sat on her, Clare always said she'd be harmless if you didn't say anything to her to provoke her, but she just attacked out of nowhere! Looking behind to make sure she wasn't being chased, she didn't watch her path, bumping into Divinity on her spot behind the bar. "Uh... Uh, hello...! I'm sorry!" She stammered out.

Errant Singularity wrote:"Eh, cooked meat just doesn't have the right taste to me." Varen gulped down the last piece of meat, continuing.

It's looking pretty lively over there, we can continue talking while we're dancing!" Magnus happened to be very good at dancing having copied the muscle memory from a good dancer awhile back, the alcohol would probably interfere just a bit though.

Miri snorted, leaning over as Varen knelt infront of her. "What's up find a cool rock?" Question didn't make a lot of sense, they were on a porch and a pretty well maintained one at that. "Aw thanks V. You saved my life. I will never forget this debt." She said stone faced, putting a hand on his shoulder before breaking into a giggle as he walks off. She wiggled her toes in her knockoff converse.

A smile spread across Miri's face as Divinity's voice chimed behind her. She twirled to greet the blonde, holding her hands aloft.
"Divinity~" She chimed back in a sing-song voice. Miri thanked the almsot comical size of her sunglasses because she blushed a bit when Divinity guessed immediatley what she wanted, "You've got my number." She said. Unabashadley Miri reached down the front of her blouse and salvaged the worn silver flask. "You're an absolute peach Divinity." She smiled, following Divinity and Magnus inside the house to the bar.
She watched Divinity mix the drinks closely, especially her own. First her fathers gin, then lemon juice and finally the honey. She tried her best to note the portion sizes, so she could mix her own drinks in the future. Alas she'd done this every time Divinity had ever mixed her a drink and Miri had yet to replicate the beverage just right. Some people just had a knack for it she supposed.

She accepted her glass with boisterous thanks and took a sip, letting the zing of the gin and lemon flow with the hint of sweet honey. Miri shivered. Just right. Almost as good as coffee. Almost.

Her group she'd rooted herself in moved on and she dispersed herself in the crowd, looking for anybody to mingle with. She waved at a fellow from a different class, a guy with plant based powers she saw around the greenhouse occasionally. They engaged in some shop talk for a moment then suddenly Miri hit the bottom of her beverage.

"Whoops, wells run dry. Gonna hop over and get a refill." She broke off from the conversation with a wave. She moseyed through the crowd, her face feeling a little flush from the alcohol and the atmosphere. Miri scoffed at her tolerance, curse this average sized body of mine.
She obtained her fresh Bee's Knees from Divinity and was sipping it.

Over the rumble of the crowd she thought she heard Varen, spewing words drunkenly. he searched for him in the crowd a bit, he was drinking straight rum, like some kind of lunatic. What wild dude. Could he do that because of his powers? What if her powers could also give her better tolerance? She'd forgotten about the greenhouse guy and was now debating technicalities when in golem form. Depending on the type of soil or shale she used it could be detoxifying. Lost in thought she barely noticed Magnus walk up until he was halfway through his sentence.

"Huh?" Her eyebrows furrowed. The noise in the room was loud, the people and the music loud. "Oh, thank you!" She adjusted her glasses, pushing them farther up her nose. She'd almost considered taking them off, the lights in the house were dim. The pink lenses made Magnus's hair a rosey gold, how pretty. In her tipsy state she almost got distacted from the conversation by this perception. Her social tact was slowly leaving her. "Dance? Me?" She asked to clarify, pointing at her own chest. "I mean I took ballet when I was seven but- OH DANCE, dance with you! Sorry, it's loud!" She laughed a sort of tipsy laugh and took a sip of her drink. Oh yeah, the heat in her face let her know she was defintley feeling it. "I'm not GOOD at dancing by any means but if you're willing to lead-" She pulled her sunglasses up to show her eyes, she gave Magnus and sharp wink, "then let's boogie~" She did a little shimmy to exemplify her dancing skills.

Oran seemed out of place for once. It’s not that he didn’t like
Parties, he would actually be talking to everyone at any other party... but he felt weird. He wouldn’t even focus on what Divinity or the freshman were talking about, looking around he finally met eyes with them “oh uh, yeah it’s pretty cool Yakata.” There was obviously something bothering him, but couldn’t figure out what “no drink for me Divinity... oh hey Magnus” he waved in a lazy fashion while looking around the house “yeah go get a girl, we got extra rooms if you need one...” he said casually parting away from Divinity but failed as she pulled him in. He shook his head trying to focus on the party, it was to put everyone at ease after all the incidents that had happened “right the surprise, we’ll it be better if i gave it to you when there’s less people... but hey... don’t you have this feeling of... someone or something watching you? Ever since the mall incident I’ve had this feeling that someone has been watching me... maybe I’m just too stressed” finally giving her some attention he decided to wrap his arm around her.

A nice sports car pulled up outside the party, revving the engine to show off. Finally getting off Justin walk through the door very smoothly, then looked around the room for Oran. Which he spotted in a few seconds, but just as he was approaching him. The Russian girl grabbed his attention. He diverted from
His path then quickly reach for her hand. Gently pulling her away from the guy she awas talking to, quickly made her twirl and fall into his arms “Oh! What a coincidence. Looks like you’ve fallen into my hands, let’s dance mademoiselle”

Silver stood far away hearing everyone enjoying themselves as he never really knew what to do in a party as he had no experience in it as now he was people watching enjoying seeing others so...happy but felt a pain of loneliness as he walks off to the other corner but saw Justin as he frowns feeling...jealous of how happy and energetic he is and wonders if he could dance and be like that as he watched him interact with Yvette. The ice user just felt out of place wanting to talk to someone but was so use to not talking much as he began hearing much of the conversations around him.
